Annexure E of the 2026–27 main LOC circular describes school access and record checks (page 29), and final-list name confirmation by the mother, father and candidate (page 34). Families should work through their school, not submit personal information through this article.

The CBSE Handbook for Teachers and the 2025–26 main LOC circular therefore should not be blended into a claim that a family submits the LOC directly to CBSE or that the previous-cycle process is current.

Class, session and source matter
A subject code needs its complete official label.
The same number can identify different Mathematics subjects in different classes, so a code alone is not enough context.

The 2026–27 main LOC circular gives these class-labelled examples on pages 9–10. Code 241 refers to different Mathematics subjects in Classes X and XII. Keep the class, full subject name, code, session and source together.
Current instruction and historical boundary
APAAR entry is optional in the reviewed 2026–27 circular.
Use the current circular, not a previous-session exception, to understand the school’s next step.
Pages 2 and 33 of the 2026–27 main LOC circular state that APAAR entry is optional. Page 33 describes consent when sharing it, validation when entered, and an appropriate option when unavailable or not provided. No identifier should be entered on this website.
CBSE's 2025–26 prior intimation included APAAR ID among the data schools were asked to prepare for that LOC cycle. A later APAAR relaxation allowed the named REFUSED and NOGEN entries in specified circumstances for session 2025–26.
Different stages, different instructions
Ask the school which correction stage applies.
An initial record check, a data-verification slip and a later demographic-correction request are not interchangeable.
The 2026–27 main LOC circular introduces a school-generated data-verification slip on pages 10–11, with a stated 2–4 November 2026 correction period for the specified names, date of birth and subject errors. It also places limits after that period. This is not an open-ended permission or a guarantee; read both pages and any later revision with the school.
The 23 September 2026 demographic-correction notice emphasises parent confirmation and complete, certified school records. It routes requests through the school and warns that incomplete requests will be rejected. It does not replace the main circular’s stage-specific schedule.
CBSE's 2025 demographic-correction notice describes verification at multiple stages. For later demographic correction requests, it says students should process requests through the school and schools must provide complete certified records.

Who submits the CBSE LOC?
The current main circular describes the school’s submission process. Parents should verify the school-generated record through their school. This website does not submit LOC data.
What does CBSE's handbook tell parents to verify?
It names the candidate's name, date of birth, parents' names and subjects, and says the parent should sign after verification. The handbook is listed for session 2019–20, so it should not be used as a current schedule or complete current field list.
Where are photograph and signature requirements described?
Use the 10 September 2026 prior intimation and the current main circular, including its photograph and final-list instructions. Do not treat a short checklist or a previous-cycle example as the complete current specification.
Can every error be corrected after submission?
No such guarantee is made here. Read the current circular’s data-verification-slip provisions and the 23 September demographic-correction notice with the school. The stage, time limits, records and later instructions matter.
Can a school use REFUSED or NOGEN for APAAR now?
Do not carry those named 2025–26 exceptions forward as current instructions. The reviewed 2026–27 main circular says APAAR entry is optional and describes the current options on page 33.
Does code 241 always mean the same Mathematics subject?
No. The 2026–27 main circular lists Mathematics Basic for Class X and Applied Mathematics for Class XII. Class, session, full subject name and source must stay together.
What is the current 2026–27 main LOC deadline?
The main circular is available. Use its applicable schedule and any later CBSE revision with the school. This parent guide does not collapse the different activities, cases and payment arrangements into a single deadline.
